This was my first time kayaking and will definitely not be my last. Hastings was a great instructor, I felt comfortable and confident. He was very knowledgeable of the area, tides and wildlife. Enjoyed seeing several heron varieties, oyster catchers and the jumping mullets. The sunrise tour was totally worth the early wake up!

Hastings was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. He dubbed our group “The Chicago Seven” I had a ton of fun kayaking and it was a nice way to get off of the touristy path in Myrtle Beach as a vacationer. Thanks so much Hastings.

Hasting is awesome! Knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, very informative. He is always set up and ready when we arrive and tailors the trip to our speed and likes. Our third year with him and already looking forward to next year!

We had an awesome time with River Reader Kayaking this past week! Hastings, was extremely knowledgeable about the waterways and an incredibly skilled guide. As we paddled down the river, a 4+ foot sturgeon suddenly breached the water, leaving us absolutely amazed. Hastings pointed out that it was the largest sturgeon he had ever seen in these parts—truly a spectacular and unforgettable moment! Oh wow! This was the most fun I have had in a while! Beautiful kayak trip thru the salt marsh with the amazing and knowledgeable Professor Hastings! I am so pleased that we did this as a family and that at 68, I could keep up! You have to do this to really appreciate the beauty and wonder of the inlet. Great price! Great guide and a great time! I will do this again in the fall!
