Apartment is great, and everyone very nice (apartment is very cold in the winter, even with heater on, so this is something to be aware of). The weird and bad smells around the building aren't nice, and I truly believe they should do something about it, however it's been a good place to live and the smells don't enter into the apartment, they are just in the hallways. Reprisal: While attempting to fix the unit's sprinkler system, I had two maintenance personnel walk all over my furniture. The area manager seemed unconcerned and said it was acceptable for them to treat my possessions disrespectfully. My rent went up $100 since I complained. Normally, I could have negotiated the rent amount, but this rent increase is clearly a penalty for raising concerns about the maintenance staff (the area manager controls the rent increases or decreases). Not in the office when the sign says open and lights are on and it is during open hours on the sign. It is takng weeks to get my dishwasher looked at so it can be fixed. I haven't even had a maintenance person call me or leave a memo to tell me they are entering my suite. I've had better. Also they take advantage of a rent increase loophole by giving you a "discount" and slowly taking it away every year. Your rent DOES GO UP. But they don't have to adhere to rent increase rules as it's a "discount".
I initially gave a 1-star review due to a misunderstanding about the lease agreement. However, the manager personally reached out to explain everything clearly and assured me that the rent would not increase. I was genuinely impressed by their willingness to listen and clarify things, which shows they truly care about their residents. I appreciate the excellent customer service and am updating my review to 5 stars!
Not great, do not recommend. First floor smell is food, third floor smell like weed, tows your car anyway and every single time even you pay for parking. No support at all.
