This aptly named eatery is set at the spot on the Savannah River where the first steam ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean, the SS Savannah, first disembarked in 1819. I will be going back soon. Great time for restaurant week.
Great atmosphere and service. I had the Steak and Cake (filet and crab cake). Both were delicious; tons of crab and the filet was huge and cooked perfectly. My husband loved his blackened mahi too. Neither of us were overly impressed with the sides but we didn't go there because of mashed potatoes or orzo. Overall a really great dinner in a beautiful setting.
Fantastic quiet dim atmosphere, stellar friendly waitstaff and exquisite seafood with a wonderful river view to boot. Highly recommended.
Went there for dinner and had the parmesan crusted red snapper. It was delicious. My husband had the lobster and shrimp and enjoyed that. The server was friendly and attentive.
