Dr. Dixon is amazing! I have lived in Reno for 60 years and she was the BEST! She spent more time with me than my previous concierge physician and I felt she really cared. She gave definitive reasons for why she approved of certain drug therapies without negating other therapies. Her nurse was also very friendly and personable. The only thing I really dislike is always getting an answering machine when I just want to leave a message or reschedule an appointment. Very inconvenient!
She used to be compassionate, which she was before being part of a 'managed practice'. Now she cuts back quality care time and no longer calls with test results etc. in a timely manner ex: still awaiting chest X-ray results from 7 days ago & lab work from 4 days ago. she has canceled appt on me twice! She works under St Mary's Med Grp. Find out for yourself how this practice works by calling for an appointment. You go thru a call car! You cannot reach office directly to schedule, cx etc.
Dr Dixson is a very thorough and compassionate doctor who takes the time to discuss all aspects of one's medical care. She's simply one of the best and brightest doctors I've ever met!
