This place is the real deal, Southern comfort food. Had fried pork chop with red beans and rice and my wife had the gumbo. Awesome good, even the biscuit was exceptional.
In a word, AWESOME!! Food, atmosphere, service!! DEF a hidden treasure!! I ordered one meal and ended up leaving with 2 other meals to go after seeing them come out and served to other tables!! And every single thing I ate was off the charts GOOD!! Already thinking about what I'm going to eat next trip!!
Went to Rita Mae's Kitchen today...what a fun and delicious smelling place! We felt at home...and enjoyed some scrumptious home cooked food! I can tell you that the roast beef po-boy is amazing! The bread pudding (which I brought home) was huge and very good! A totally enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere. We coveted all the other plates we saw being delivered....all the while devouring our meals! Highly recommend this little gem in Morgan City!!
