The Best Spent a few days driving through Louisiana with a girlfriend this April. Rita Mae's was by far the best food we had. We ask for suggestions and thank goodness we did. The crab burger was huge and delicious. The bread pudding was to die for!!! I've never been a big bread pudding fan but I am now!!! If you haven't eaten there try it. We're from Oregon and would definately go back if ever in Morgan City again.
Lagniappe The true definition of lagniappe! An unexpected something extra. Rita Mae's is by far the best southern dining experience. We ate there while visiting friends in Morgan City. The best things on the menu besides everything - the onion rings and the bread pudding. WOW! You're gonna love this place!

The Best Home Cooking RitaMae's Heaping portions and some of the best home cooking you'll EVER taste. Their hamburger is the size of a small moutain and very tasty but the BEST and their ultimate menu item is the "Smothered Pork" dinner.
Amazing!! If your looking for some down home cooking, Rita Mae's is it. I've lived in Morgan city my entire life and have never ate at Rita Mae's til one when my mother-n-law took my there (its her favorite place). I now why now the service is good, their very nice. And the FOOD IS AMAZING.. I would recommend this place to everybody.
