I have been a patient of Dr. Hancock and she is very professional, caring and thorough in her care. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.
I suffer with RA, which leaves me miserable during times of flare ups. I have never had a doctor perform manual manipulation on me effectively in the way Rita did. She has wonderful bedside manner and I truly believe she was put on this earth to heal people inside and out.
Having had EMG in the distant past I had forgotten how painful they can be since the practioner is dealing with nerve paths and nerve bundles. I was referred to Dr. Hancock in May 2010 and unlike other Pain Management physicians that perform EMG's Dr. Hancock was caring, careful, good listener, and very thorough. She took the time to answer all of my questions, very professional. Although this type of testing is usually unpleasant, her caring attitude made the whole situation much easier.
I have had several EMGs throughout the past years, and this doctor performed the most brutal and painful EMG--absolutely excessive jolts during the test! I have never yelled out loud during EMGs performed by other doctors--but this time I yelled out repeatedly--even asking her to stop! Guess what--she kept on with shocks even after I protested. Totally discounted my concerns and had no knowledge about my medical condition. I advise nerve conduction test elsewhere if you can do so.
Business response:
I understand. It sounds like you have a pain problem that hasn't been solved after seeing many doctors over many years, and I'm sure that's frustrating. Sadly, having an EMG feels like a doctor is adding insult to injury, since you hurt to begin with and the test made you hurt more. Plus, you traveled a long way from out of state, presumably because other doctors who you have seen in your own state couldn't fix you. I get why you are more fed than ever. Sorry I couldn't help you.
