When we walked in, the owner was sitting at the bar. He was very loud and obnoxious and only spoke to Todd's dad. Never to anyone else. This wasn't loud in a welcoming way, it was loud in an asshole kind of way. Our server was sweet and did her very best. When she began politely placing our appetizer plates, the owner came by and ripped the plates out of her hands and said, "No, like this," and proceeded to literally shove them down in front of each of us. I always enjoy eating at Amalfi. My favorite is linguini with white clam sauce! The garlic roll are delicious!

Great neighborhood feel. The smell of garlic envelops you when you walk in like a warm blanket. Could use a bit more staff, and lose the slot machines. Food is good, although the calamari wasn't homemade like we remember. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
