Great food and atmosphere. The staff is amazing. There are no complaints I've ever had about this place a canandaigua staple

Long wait for servers and the food was to cold when served.
After hearing great things about this place the only thing great was our disappointment. It would be a stretch to even call any of our dishes warm... Room temperature maybe, warm/hot- not even close. The service was also lacking. No one stopped by to check or refill drinks. We had one small growler of water for the table which was gone by halfway through the meal since most of us chose to drink water. The wait for our bill was excessive. Best restaurant around. Outstanding food and drink - authentic, delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere with gorgeous and unique artwork throughout. Rio is a true gem.
The best food in Canandaigua. From appetizers to desserts (tres leches is a gift from the gods), and everything in between, Rio never disappoints. You've got to try their daily specials, too. Amazing culinary creations! Also, the only place in town to get a good margarita.
Had an excellent lunch at Rio yesterday. I ventured from the Tacos Surtidos to the Tostadas and they were fantastic. My Mom had the Tostada appetizers and she enjoyed it. The guacamole is always wonderful. And the bartender mixes a strong margarita. Mom and I split one and we were feeling good. I am from Southern California and find this authentic Mexican restaurant to be my favorite place to eat in Canandaigua. I am the owner of a local Bed & Breakfast and recommend Rio to all my guests. They are always impressed.
