We had to have labs drawn today on our tiny 2 year old and I couldn't believe how smooth the process was. Our phlebotomist kept up a gentle stream of chatter, describing the tourniquet as a "too tight Grandma hug," which made me laugh and eased the tension. (I was tense before I even arrived at the thought of three vials of blood being pulled from my daughter's 20 pound body.) But, guys. She didn't even cry.
