The Wax Shack and Ellen are both lovely. I stepped through the door and the relaxing atmosphere immediately put me at ease. My waxing service was efficient and as painless as could be. Ellen is a master of her craft, and I am so thankful to have found such a gem in my area. 10/10, I will certainly be back!
Ellen is a friendly, no nonsense waxer with excellent attention to detail. The Wax Shack space is hip and comfortable. Go see Ellen and end your search for a waxing specialist. She's a keeper.
All I have to say this morning is wow! What a start. I drove to Poway from Chula Vista because I read the reviews about how “good” this place is and how professional Ellen is but, upon my arrival I notice the door is locked due to clients with appointments only, are allowed inside. That’s very understanding and not the issue. What threw me off was I read the sheet they have posted on the door that said (to schedule an appt you can text the person indicated for the procedure you’d like). As a man, I was a bit reluctant to confide in someone about my skin situation. Working with Ellen has taken away much of that apprehension and embarrassment. I highly recommend her for any skin care needs or concerns. As a sufferer of chronic eczema, I’ve tried all kinds of lotions, supplements, and treatments. Ellen was able to come up with a treatment and supplement regimen that is really working well for me.
