You need to take a hard look at Ms. Pope. Her conduct is not just questionable—it is outright unacceptable and raises serious concerns about professional misconduct. My ex-husband and I were required to pay for her services as a Guardian ad Litem, yet she failed to perform even the most basic duties required of that role. Mr. Riddick may know law, but he is about the rudest small-town lawyer I have ever seen. The disrespect for emotional or financial matters is truly astonishing. There are other law firms in Smithfield, and surrounding areas. Please don't think your options are limited.
Carol Darden went above and beyond assisting me with purchasing my home in Smithfield. She came in on her day OFF to ensure I closed on time. I HIGHLY recommend using Riddick and Pope.
It's a shame that Mr. Riddick has been "practicing law for 43 years" and hasn't learned manners to talk to people in a respectful and non-condescending fashion. Seems to be very disrespectful to women in particular.
