The customer service policy at this car wash is incredibly frustrating. Like every single car washes along the Gulf Coast now, they station attendants at the payment kiosk who’s sole job is to immediately start pressing buttons FOR you and launching into a loyalty membership pitch. Car washes are supposed to be self-service. I didn’t ask for help and don’t need someone taking over the screen to walk me through what is quite literally a two-button purchase. I was traveling and stopped to quickly vacuum my vehicle prior to washing at the Popps Ferry location. An attendant named Jacob stepped directly in front of my vehicle and informed me that the protocol is to wash first and then vacuum. I understand the policy and had no issue complying. What was concerning was his demeanor. His approach was abrupt and unnecessarily confrontational. Once he noticed that I have a membership, his tone and behavior noticeably changed.
