horrible grooming I have 2 shih tzus which require grooming quite often. I took my girl dog to get groomed, dropped her off and told them the requirements for my dog, clip nails, trim tail, puppy cut in the face, shave body. They said they would call me when she was done. I called multiple times during the day and she was never ready. I called again and they said she was ready. I get to the hospital and as they are bringing her out, she was NOT GROOMED. Horrible Visit I had a horrible experience with the doctor and will never be back.
My dog nearly died I have a little dog that was a patient here. I moved her because i was told to give her a baby aspirin regiment to help with her joint pain. I gave her the amount i was told and almost an hour later my poor dog laid down on my kitchen floor and started SCREAMING! She started throwing up black and red fluid everywhere, and the blood vessels in her eyes exploded- her eyes were black and red- she had NO WHITES anymore. pet lover I have had dogs and cats for 30 years. I have been to lots of vets. Richmond Animal Hospital is the best I have ever been to. Caring, practical, giving. You will not be disappointed.
person who loves my many dogs Dr. Mandola and Dr. Tamas are world class hands down the best vets! and i have been to many! it is hard enough to get into see them now they are always packed with people so i am reluctant to tell people how great they are the lines may get longer. but i would want to know. i sure hope they dont raise their prices because they really charge so low for the quality of service and the knowledge and expertise they have in vet care. clueless staff + rude/un-professional dr = Richmond Animal Hospital I took my dog in for grooming at this place after being a patient for more than 5 years and multiple pets and the groomer said it would be $75 and no more. When I went in to pick her up, the bill was $150 just for grooming, and she was basically shaved. After addressing the situation, the front desk staff had no clue and call the groomer. Disciplinary Actions If Dr. Tamas and Dr. Mandola are such wonderful veterinarians, why have both of them been sanctioned by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medicine for malpractice? Dr. Mandola has been sanctioned twice, once for negligence/malpractice, and second for allowing an illegal practice. It sounds like he was allowing people to neuter pets who had no license to do so. Do NOT bring your pet there I am related to someone who used to work there and you would not believe the things that go on behind closed doors. This is the worst place to take your beloved pet. One of the doctors does not administer enough anesthesia so the pet wakes up during the operation and they have a tech hold the animal's mouth shut so no one will hear it scream.
