There have been TONS of complications with my surgery! All of which was NEVER mentioned by anyone in the office. I am still suffering from complications 4 months out there is so much more to tell she has gave up trying to figure out what SHE DID! I was not sick prior to this, and now I am pretty much bed bound, throwing up everything been in the hospital admitted 3 times for over a month, been in the ER to many times to count. Dr. Richards does not care about post op patients. I wish there was another facility in Utah that dealt with lap band surgeries because their office is terrible.

Dr. Richards was very kind and listened to my issues and she provided suggestions and materials to review at home. Her office staff was also very friendly and timely.

I was in extreme pain in my lap-band area and my white cell count was through the roof. I wanted the lap-band removed and she just kept saying to wait another week. When she took the saline out of my band there was only 5cc, when I had 7cc in there. Her response was that her hospital used a different syringe then Cedar Sinai, where I had it filled. She got upset with me when I confronted her with the fact that a different syringe would not change the measurement. When she finally took out the band I could not get out of bed ... read more
