Poor diagnostic skills. Waited 2 hours to be seen for knee pain. Had x-rays and was diagnosed with osteoarthritis... cartilage degeneration due to age. He said to take ibuprofen for the pain and to see him in 60 days. I didn't believe him. Cartilage cannot be seen by x-rays. You need MRI to see soft-tissue. I went to see another orthopedic surgeon, who immediately suspected a meniscus tear based on the location of the pain. He sent me to get an MRI. I have multi-directional medial meniscus tear
Dr. Westbrook replaced my left hip in 2012. I now have severe pain and limitation of movement in my right hip and hope he will be able to treat my problem in any way he feels appropriate. I think my above comments say it all. The gentleman does a wonderful job.
The Dr is great.....no problems..its his staff that's rude and never return calls....it takes a week to get a call back..if we do...leave messages and the nurse never replies she's rude.,.
He's an amazing doctor very sweet you can tell he cares a lot about his patients and he's very thorough .
Was given a same day appointment for my injury. Physician was excellent !
Performed Surgery on my Achilles Tendon, I fell down on a Saturday night and re ruptured it ( my fault ). Dr Westbrook dropped everything he was doing on a Sunday and operated on me again. He is the best in town and an awesome person to go w his skill.
Dr. Westbrook repaired my left torn meniscus 2 years ago and everything went smoothly and I recovered very quickly. I now have my right knee meniscus torn and I am ready for him to repair it as soon as possible. He also took care of my shoulder freeze without surgery! He's the only orthopedic doctor that I would trust and recommend in El Paso.
Dr. Westbrook is completely responsible for saving my tibia from being amputated, back in 1987. He determined that I had adamantinoma, a slow growing bone cancer, when I was 15. He told me if I was his daughter he would send me to M.D. Anderson, and we did. They saved my leg, and I owe Dr. Westbrook alot. He also helped my grandfather with his knee surgery. Great man! Awesome doctor!
He has done both of my knees and I have no problems or issues with either one. In fact, I have other friends who have used his services and they agree, He's the best!
