I am a physician and very picky about my doctors. Dr. Shaughnessy is the best GI specialist. He is an excellent doctor and is extremely kind. I would definitely refer him to my loved ones. I will forever be his patient!
Dr Shaughnessy is the best doctor very personable and so kind. He never gives up till he figures out what's wrong. I have seen alot of GI doctor and hands down Dr Shaughnessy is the best. He explains stuff as a person not a Dr and you understand what he is saying. He makes you apart of your treatment and decisions. He listens and answers all questions
Dr Richard Shaughnessy is knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner. He takes into consideration my other issues and medication, when deciding on a treatment plan.
I was so scared about this last colonoscopy. I'm a senior woman with issues, and didn't want one more. But Dr. S was calming, kind, professional, and charming. Made me feel like I'd make it....and I did!!!!

Dr Shaughnessy has been my doctor for many years and I trust him completely. He has taken care of me through my cancer and other health issues. I believe I would not be here now without his expertise and his careful monitoring of my diseases. He is a caring and respectful doctor.
From the moment he walked into the room I was treated with the utmost respect. He listened to me and treated me as a whole person, not just a "part". He partnered with me to come up with an individualized treatment plan that would work best for me and my circumstances. I did a Cologuard test for the 2nd time as I couldn’t fathom the thought of drinking so much for the colonoscopy prep. My 1st test came back normal. This time it came back positive for blood. I was terrified, & being an RN for 25 years, my mind immediately went to Stage IV Colon Cancer. I received a call from Joanna at Dr. Shaughnessy’s office.
