Dr. Shaughnessy took the time to listen to all of my complications with my G.I. tract. He also ordered all of the appropriate tests that I needed and took the time to explain my test results. He is professional and a very caring physician whom I greatly appreciate.
Dr. Shaughnessy is an excellent and caring physician and a lovely human being. I came to him with a complex problem, and he kept looking for answers when other doctors had given up. I am so grateful to him for his kindness and support during a very difficult time. Even after I move away next year, I’ll come back to Phoenix to continue my GI care with him.
WOW! I finally found a doctor who has genuine concern about a serious health problem I have had for more than a decade. I ended up at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix on Friday, August 6, 2021 with Pancreatitis. My gallbladder removed on Sunday, August 8th because I was in serious trouble. The hospital had placed me on a low-fat diet of which I continue today. The office is so comfortable and welcoming. The employees are friendly and efficient. Dr Schaughnessy has always talked to me after each procedure (both endoscopies and colonoscopies). He tells you like it is and is very personable.

Dr Shaughnessy has been my GI doc since December 2011. He has always been kind and respectful, he listens and answers my concerns or questions. He is always pleasant and is very knowledgeable in many GI areas. With him, I have had a PEG tube inserted and removed; colonoscopies, endoscopes, EGD’s. Always excellent care! Highly recommend him.
