On two separate occasions, Dr. Mistretta saved a badly infected toe of mine rather than simply pushing for amputation. He is a truly caring health professional.

on my first visit he told me that I was morbidly obese according to my BMI and recommended a diet book. On the second visit he said that the biopsy results were negative for fungus and covid and not to come back. I would not recommend him at all. star rating 1/2 of 1 star

This so called Doctor Richard Mistretta had me come in several times and sell me overpriced toe spacers for an infected corn that was caused by two toe bones impacting each other along with a bunion on my foot. His rude and and untruthful surgery scheduler Cindy mailed me confirmation that the surgery would be October 1st and if I canceled they would bill me. Yet she said she canceled the surgery telling me that Northside Hospital booked another patient in my time slot. I called Northside hospital to inquire because they had... read more

Dr. Mistretta was recommended to me by a specialist. After a ruptured Achilles' tendon I was placed in an air cast and ordered PT. I developed extensive ulcers on the ball and heel. Dr.M allowed me to take an active role in my plan of care. He placed my foot in a full contact cast which was very time consuming for him and the staff. This made a huge difference in my recovery. He treats with respect and explains points very clearly. He welcomes you to return should any concerns arise. Excells

I was referred and went three times to Dr. Mistretta. First time I thought he was just busy as he seemed to be so rushed with me even though I was his first appt for the day. The second visit was slightly better however the third visit I was so upset when I left. He rushed through, did not give me an opportunity to address some concerns and said he was going to get some paperwork in which he then sent his asst in with the paperwork and i never saw his face again. Not returning or referring.
