I was doing small talk in a doctor's waiting room, and Dr Ruskin's name was mentioned as a possible avenue to get rid of my lower back pain. I followed up with the reccomendation and I now am really pleased with the results. My progressing pain, of three years, has stopped bothering me. Big problem now is to get moving and reshape the muscles that went soft from lack of use.

Terrible! They are all very incompetent and disorganized. I'll never do business with them. I definitely would not recommend them. They say they will get back with you and they don't. They apparently don't know what they're doing. I wouldn't eve give them one star. Their grade is F-.

Let me start by saying how great their entire staff is! Tina, Cherly, Stephanie and the ladies at the front desk are all so helpful and caring, they really try to make you feel welcome and comfortable! Dr Ruskins is absolutely hands down the best Doctor I've ever had he takes the time to listen and seems to genuinely care about his patients. He has excellent bedside manner. I would highly recommend this Desert Pain Institute.

Dr. Ruskin is a joke. Doesn't review your file before meeting with you; doesn't remember you from week to week; doesn't care about your pain. He should have his medical license taken away.

Poor quality of staff, doctor was immediately dismissive when I stated it was nerve pain. I had been electrocuted several years ago, that's why it continued to hurt and has not stopped hurting. They wanted me to do physical therapy that was excruciatingly painful. I was not asking for some higher dose, same dose for years, but instead of doing the tests I asked, for, Electrocardiograph Monitoring, or sending me to a neurologist have it done, they refused me.

I drive 3 hr. to see Dr Ruskin because he is that GOOD. Desert Pain Institute was recommended by a relative several years ago. His staff from the front office to recovery is outstanding. I don't know what else to say he has done me good.

A week before Christmas, I contacted Dr. Ruskin's office when my 96 yr old mother was in terrible pain from a fractured vertebra. He went out of his way to get her in, saw her in his office, personally contacted other doctors to coordinate complicated tests she needed, called me at home on Christmas weekend (!) and relieved her pain with a Kyphoplasty the week after Christmas. He was very caring and professional and we could not be more pleased with her care. He and his staff were amazing!

After a recent fall resulting in a compression fracture of vertebra, Dr. Ruskin made time for me, helped me evaluate treatment options and expedited required tests, Medicare clearance and did Kyphoplasty just a week after first appointment. Not only is he knowledgeable and skilled; he is also kind and has a sense of humor. It is a pleasure to go to appointments at Desert Pain. The nurses and other staff where procedures are performed are very professional, skilled and friendly.

He has managed my back pain for over five years: performed numerous procedures including the placement of cement in two fractured vertebras - seven denervations - many lumbar epidural steroid injections and lumbar medial branch blocks. He counseled against another procedure for a fractured vertebra that was healing satisfactory. He is pleasant and personable; technical and office staff respect him; and, complicated material is presented understandably. I highly recommend Dr Ruskin.
