I had Lapiplasty surgery in 2022. Initially, I was excited—Dr. G had a great personality and made every visit pleasant. I felt comfortable and confident enough to move forward with the surgery that same year. Fast forward to now: 17 screws, 4 plates, and I still have a visible bunion. My toe mobility is limited—maybe 13%—and I can’t bend my toes downward at all. Unfortunately, I regret having the procedure.
I went to see Dr. Goldstein and three weeks later still in pain I suggested I might have a fracture. He ordered an MRI. He never called with the results although I reached out to him numerous times. After seeing another doctor I found out I did indeed have a fracture. Perhaps he should be a pecucurist.
