RUN AWAY!!! I'm new to Pittsburgh and found this dentist on Google. Saw some good reviews. I made an appointment for a routine checkup and cleaning - my last one was 6 months ago. I'm not having any pain or problems. The hygienist repeatedly told me how well she was cleaning my teeth (no one ever has before?), then the dentist, Dr. Morse, told me I needed 2 root canals! I said, what? I'm not having any pain or anything. She asked me if I had "drainage." I said yes, sinus drainage. She took x-rays and pointed to 2 back molars... read more

Don't fall for all the expensive "recommendions"; Get a 2nd opinion I will never see Dr. Carnevali again!!! He may be soft-spoken and pleasant, but he will tell you that you need tons of expensive dental work. I fell for it! $3000+ later... I thought, how could that be?!?!? I see my regular dentist every 6 months? How is it that all of the sudden I needed all that work?!?!? Emmert Dental Butchers These guys are butchers. They preformed an extraction on me and left part of the tooth in. Then they told me it would work its way out eventually. My wife also went there a year later and they did a root canal on her. The tooth they worked on for my wife eventually had to be extracted by another dentist a year later.I recently had the piece of tooth removed. We have contacted an attorney. deep clean when i went in for cleaning they told me i needed to have a deep clean where they will numb you and clean under your gum line , and my b/f also had appt , they told him the exact same thing , huummm wondering if we really do need it , because he brushes his teeth after every meal and floss's daily actually carries floss with him , so not sure to beleave them ,

Questionable Billing Practices Every time my husband and I went to this dentist we were told we needed more work AND our bill was never clear,never itemized AND they didn't bill insurance correctly. I switched more than two years ago and I got a call from a COLLECTION AGENCY last night saying I owed Emmert money. I never recieved a bill, phone call, letter---nothing. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BILL I've gone to Emmert Dental in Market Square for years with no problems but everytime I went they always had a story about my insurance and payment when I would ask for a reciept they'd always say don't worry about it we will work it out with the insurance company. The receptionist/billing clerk Carol, although very nice was always confused. Do not go there! Dr C is a butcher and Michelle is a witch! Please people read the reviews and do NOT walk into this place! Jomarie is loud and obnoxious, run, run, run! I came in for a cleaning, was told I needed a root canal and crown or I would lose my tooth, after crying in the chair while the dr and assistant ignored me, I agreed to the work, never again!
