Dr. Chang is upbeat doctor, when you’re depressed he brings your spirits up, he explains everything to you. I already sent my friend to him.
Was send to see my 89 year old mother in the hospital who also has stage 3 lung cancer. She was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy, possibly due to the chemo. When she asked him if she could no longer receive chemo, what course of would be coming next. He looked at her and said “this is what happens to your heart when you’ve lived too long” I’ve never heard a physician say anything more insensitive, disrespectful, inappropriate, or unprofessional in my life. I reported him to the change nurse... read more
I have been a patient of his for about eight years. During that time he has provided excellent advice, installed stents in my coronary artery, has answered every question in depth, and exhibited a warm and friendly personality. His practice is so state-of-the-art that he has been asked to participate in some cardiovascular research projects. I have complete confidence in his abilities.
Dr.Chang is upbeat and makes you feel good. He listens to what you have to say and answers all your questions.
Would rate 0 star if possible. Waste of a doctor - saw him based on the good reviews here: - Prejudiced in his assessment - Inaccessible: Meets you with one leg out of the door. Always in hurry. Not interested in taking/answering your questions/concerns - Unresponsive: No followup what so ever (even for read out of your test results). You have to keep calling and hope to hear a noted answer occasionally if you are lucky or get to hear from her his assistant if extremely lucky. So no way for the patient to discuss concerns/op... read more
I first met Dr Richard Chang at John Muir hospital when I was having a heart attack, he placed three stents in and I spent three days in ICU. I was under the care of another Cardiologist when this occurred. The other Cardiologist was lacking in the bedside manor that I needed, so I immediately switched to Dr. Chang, and I am so thankful I did, he makes sure to take all the time I needed for any questions I had, and explained everything in detail to me. I highly recommend Dr Chang, because he will do everything he can to save... read more
Complete confidence in Dr. Chang . He’s not only a very good doctor, he’s concerned about his patients ( me ) and extremely professional .
Dr. Chang is a kind, very smart, and quick to catch details, that you'll either need help with later in life, very soon, or suddenly. Always tell him any new odd feelings in your senses; sights, sounds, or distress, physical, or emotional, as many are actually symptoms, and he knows them all. He's a busy Doctor, serious, and focused on how to best help you with the newest, updated information, and you need to be just as serious keeping up with regular appointments. I'm lucky he's been w/me 5yrs.
I have met Dr. Chang in his office 3 times and he performed 3 coronary intervention procedures on me at John Muir Hospital, Concord. He is easy to talk to about complex matters. He is very professional in his diagnosis and in performing procedures. If you think you have a coronary issue, see him.
