I'm very unhappy with my visit to Dr. Rice. I arrived on time for my appointment. I waited over an hour to get brought to the back, and then another 30 minutes before she saw me, which is hard to do with a toddler. I was not impressed by her care. That may be because I'm an APRN, but it felt like she was rushing. Weeks later my husband received a letter from collections for a bill that was paid.
I was referred here after a positive ANA panel. Dr. Rice ordered a million labs (including several I definitely did not need like Hep C & TB!) then told me my labs were fine. All she offered was that my pain was due to depression despite having been evaluated multiple times for depression and always being found mentally sound. She prescribed water aerobics despite an established history of passing out with and without exertion. I am have now been waiting for a call back for 3 days.
First visit, she was understanding of my condition, but started recommending additional medications to take on top of what already works. Did not check for contraindications with current medications for other conditions. Recommended biological that could have adverse affects on current conditions. Also recommended 'mail order' pharmacy .. not sure of them. holding off until more information obtained. Will try 1 more appointment and see what shakes out. Do not like drug pushing doctors.
