We make the 45 mile trip to the Rib Joint on our anniversary, and have been doing it for more than 30 years. It's a real gem and we highly recommend it.
A classic, welcoming, unpretentious Dana Point resto-bar. I make it a destionation for dinner and a few beers with the family and to meet up with owner/chef Sami whenever in the OC area.
Netta and Sam are the best! I come here just to see them!
It's not your typical OC restaurant, but it is neighborly with a vintage setting! A real home town crowd. I will be back, again and again.

Food was very good and the servers were even better. 42 of took over the patio (OK, they knew we were coming) and they never missed a beat. I'd go back tomorrow but the drive would be a killer.
Bartender@ the Joint. I laugh everyday. . The Bar is filled with great people and good friends, like family.. great stories and funny mishaps. Drinks are reasonably priced. Ribs and chicken , salad bar with awesome sides all made in house. Live music including Cris Cram on Wednesday and Thursdays. . Come on in! Its a great place to meet new friends in a genuinely comfortable environment...
Best breakfast on weekends! The ball steak and eggs! Yum! 6 egg Roadhouse Omelette! Huge!
