I’ve only needed one kidney doctor. Dr Matute is my kidney doctor! When my Primary Care Physician noticed that my labs showed a drop in my eGFR. I was already Stage 3 with 1 kidney. Dr Matute has treated me for CKD Chronic Kidney Disease for almost 10 years. I have seen him every six months. He has been my cheerleader and champion throughout these years. Doctor Matute is simply the best. He has followed the problems my 100 year old mother has experienced over the last month even though each of those problems had nothing to do with her kidneys. Her primary care doctor for has missed everything but Doc Matute has made every correct call along the way. He is the kind of doctor that every doctor should emulate.
