In 1978, we planted 2000 pine trees on our farm in Elko, MN and weve planted thousands more every year since. In 1991, we opened our second farm on the frontage road of Interstate 35 in Lakeville. Planting, shearing, mowing, hoeing, fertilizing, irrigatinggrowing Christmas trees is a long process and labor intensive. It can take a small tree 8 to 10 years to grow big enough to sell for Christmas. It is a huge commitment of time and resources.
