I would never bring my mother back to Retina Associates in Westlake. We had a scheduled appointment on Friday and spent nearly four hours in the office for what ultimately amounted to about five minutes with the doctor. During that entire time, no one provided us with a meaningful update about the delay or gave us any indication of how much longer we would be waiting. Treatment seems to be working quite well.
Dr. Pendergast appeared to have one foot in the door and one foot out the entire visit. He was dismissive, would not answer my questions, and seemed to be racing a stopwatch. He explained virtually nothing about my condition or treatment options. I left feeling so confused and frustrated. The visit was over so fast I wasn't sure if the appointment had actually started.
Dr. Pendergast and the kind and capable staff have been saving my vision for over 6 years. I trust his judgement and he listens to my feedback.
