I made the trek to this location on Monday and was very displeased with the service. I have sold here before but it is a bit out of my way so I went through all my stuff and sorted it to spring/summer items. I brought my stuff in and when I came back I was told they couldn't take anything because it was all out of season. Since when are short sleeve blouses, spring dresses and cardigans not in season in the spring?! I don't think she even looked through all of my items. I agree with every single comment on here. I'm really disappointed in the change. I used to recommend Rethreads to everyone, not anymore
Used to really love this place. Not sure what happened, but the staff appears to have little regard for the customers, fashion, or what's going on in the store. The merchandise was terrible, and they passed on Vince, Joie and Danijo in great condition. They didn't know how to work their computer or add and treated people poorly. Very sad and such a poor experience. I won't be back for a long time.
Sold stuff there!! Found good bargains
I actually used to like this store, but the new Shorewood location is horrible. Nothing like it used to be. It is tiiiiiny. Terrible denim selection. The website is also not consistent with new store policies. They no longer have vintage or unique items. The store is now a Plato's Closet knockoff. The new target customer is a 15-year old girl who follows trends, rather than setting them.
I thought I'd give them one last shot but once again they screwed me over. They put your stuff out on their shelves before you even sell it to them. They said that because of their volume, they have to do it this way. Their business is nonsense and bogus. I won't be supporting them anymore and would suggest you not as well.
Very disappointing experience yesterday. After checking hours and policies the day before and confirming online just 2 minutes before walking through door, I entered to find that "we are at capacity today", was told that everyone is directed to call in advance. When I noted that this is not stated on the website, she said they are trying to get the site updated and then handed me a sign with a very different policy (also not on the website) which she said was "brand-new today".
