This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I was traveling for business and expected a quiet, clean environment. Instead, the hotel was incredibly noisy, feeling more like a kids' playground than a professional accommodation. The cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. Supply and demand I totally understand however, $450 a night for a bed to look like this and horrible front desk resolution- not great.

I travel the country for work and love staying with Marriott and really enjoy their reward program which I earn hard for. I decided to use my hard earned points for a stay at this Residence Inn in Whitby and what a mistake. The room was disgusting. Hairs on the bed, holes in the ceiling, dust everywhere. My allergies were through the roof due to their filthy carpet. But these were things I could live with having stayed in so many different hotels in my life. The room literally smelled like sweat and bleach - like when you leave sweaty hockey equipment out to dry. The sink in the kitchenette only had running cold water and the hot water didn’t work at all. The hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and curtains were all dirty and near useless - nobody would claim these things if they were in a free box at a garage sale.
