This is certainly the largest room I'VE ever stayed. The room and luggage porters had a normal amount of wear. So, no, the hotel doesn't look like it just opened it's doors last week but certainly isn't run down. All areas, to include the pool and pool area, were clean, up to date and NOT overrun with those annoying-type of guests. I always appreciate a hotel that DOESN'T give shampoo in tiny bottles. Our stay at the Residence Inn Sandestin was truly exceptional! This beautiful resort-style hotel offers an array of amenities that enhance comfort and relaxation. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a kind gentleman at the front desk. As Marriott Bonvoy Gold members, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a spacious two-bedroom suite featuring a roll-in shower—something I often require due to my severe handicap. Clean and not far from major areas of interest in the Destin area. Shopping center right down the street, but we did not check out but nice to know how close it was. Public Beach access is a few miles a way and parking kind of sucks but would stay there again. Room was clean and plenty spacious

Has a small kitchen but no skillet. Have to bring/buy your own. What is the point of choosing a hotel with a kitchen that is unusable? Has gas grills by the pool, that do not self ignite. Bring or buy a lighter. Elevators and hallways smell like sweat and urine. Not up to Marriott standards.
