We rented a cottage in Ebrington, in the Cotswolds, last September. The cottage was beautiful, clean, and nicely appointed: just right for the two of us. The "welcome basket" was full of delights and made our first days very comfortable. The town was lovely, and the surrounding sights were easily accessible by car or train. It was a wonderful vacation experience! We travel a lot, and this was one of our favorite holidays!
We spent a delightful week at Machiavelli just south of Florence. We were there in early October..watched the grape harvest, toured Tuscany, enjoyed the local food and wine. It was everything we had dreamed of, and more. Thank you Rentvillas!!
Villa Francesca in Monterchi was outstanding. The owner Donatella was fantastic and helped us out with places to visit and arranged a fantastic tour of Ravagni for the 8 of us. The villa was very well kept and clean with an outstanding rose garden and pool. The views from the villa were exceptional. The nearby restaurants had great food and the service was great. It was a once in a lifetime experience living in the tiny village of Monterchi and meeting the local people.
If you want to see the Amalfi coast and stay in a villa, stay at Casa Toto in Praiano. What a great villa and a great location. The pictures on the webpage looked nice, but the villa was even nicer than what the pictures showed. The location was fantastic--views of Capri every day as well as views of Positano. We took several day trips from the villa to Pompeii, Amalfi, Capri, and Ravello. Everything was excellent about this trip. We had the most spectacular week at Donatella outside of the town of Certaldo in Tuscany. With two other couples we enjoyed everything about this beautiful spot including a fabulous cooking class and spectacular pool and views. I hope to return soon!
