This was the second time I used this company for a move. They responded timely. The first time was a great experience. The second time was horrendous. The foreman of the 3-person crew, Desmond, was excellent. However, when one of the crew members walked into my house smoking a black and mild, things began to go downhill rather quickly. When I told him to get out of my house, he started talking back to me. I believe you should not hire this company the business is called “Rent a vet” but we hired them to pick our truck and the YOUNG MEN that came to our house were NOT VETS. Very disappointed! And when we talked to Frank on the phone booking this we were told that they would arrive at 9am and work till the job was completed. Four hours into the job we were told that all the big stuff in the house was done whatever you have in the garage we aren’t responsible for and you can pack it how you want. I hired this company twice, the first time went pretty well with minimum damage, I believe the only reason it went well is because my family and I packed and wrapped most of the furniture that their team placed on the truck. The second time we hired them they were handed moving blankets to wrap several items, unfortunately they did not use them. When packing our solid wood kitchen chairs and our wood bed frame they literally just threw the items on top of the load with nothing wrapped or placed in between, hence I have thous... read more

TL;DR: Damaged furniture is "bought-out" for pennies on the dollar. My dissatisfaction is with the owner. God help you if the movers damage anything of value during the move. Do they wrap boxes and furniture in stretch wrap?...absolutely. But stretch wrap alone won't protect from dings, scrapes, and cuts. I used a large moving blanket and couch protector to cover a $3,000 sofa (think ***** ********but made in USA) in preparation for the stretch wrap. Had used Rent a Vet Movers several times before and had a reasonable experience. This last time was quite disturbing. Was a small move and should have taken half a day, maybe. No washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, just personal things like a bed, couch, table and chairs, a couple of cabinets and bags and boxes of clothes and miscellaneous. Beware! Being a household that fully supports as many veteran-associated businesses as possible (my husband is a USAF disabled veteran), this seemed like a great company to work with. From the initial outset, the communication was excellent and they followed up numerous times to gain our trust and our business, so we were impressed and decided to hire them. This company did a fantastic job moving my household and business products. The crew was courteous, fast and worked under adverse conditions. Hottest day of year, thunderstorms and numerous delays with real estate closing companies. Definitely recommend and the most reasonable company.

From the initial contact for a quote, to the move itself everything with Rent a Vet was spot on. Frank was great, the guys who moved us were prompt, courteous and total professionals. I would recommend them to anyone.
