left a VM informing me that they cancelled my initial appointment the day before, so I had to reach out and make sure I was still on schedule to come in. I liked my psychiatrist but they do make you pay twice, for some dumb “pre check” that I could honestly just type for them for free. They gas light you and say it’s necessary but it’s just an easy come up for them, I wasn’t able to pay two times for one visit so I had to cold turkey off my meds.
EDITING to respond to the response I received on my review. You did not clarify anything, you just gaslit me and all of your other patients. The pre-checks aren't necessary, required, or demanded by insurance. I have never been to a single practice that requires them. The precheck policy is a paternalistic, invasive money-making scheme and I think you should be ashamed. The two stars are for my two providers who I love, Maggie and Ruth. They are wonderful.
