I moved to the Bay Area in 1986 with my parents after my step dad got a job transfer. After they moved to Texas in 1994, I stayed here in San Francisco. I had been homeless several times since, lived with roommates (which never worked out) and lived in SRO hotels. Now I live here at 25 Essex, which is by far the best place I have lived so far in the City. I am so grateful to have a decent place with my own kitchen and bathroom, and in a decent part of the City. Thankfully this place is not in the TL or any other skidrow area... read more
