From my initial visit with Dr Castillo I was impressed with his patience in explaining my cancer and answering my questions, and then, in these COVID times, taking questions from my son and daughter in law by phone. More importantly, I had complete faith in his knowledge and expertise. His office is efficient and his nursing staff both professional and kindly. I would recommend Dr Castillo to friends or family.

I have posted before. I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in May, 2017. Six months later I was in remission. My tumor marker went from 390 to a low of 13 and hovers around 20. I've felt great throughout my journey and the only down side is that I have had to have 3 blood transfusions. He put me on Ibrance, a chemo pill. It is nothing short of miraculous as is Dr. Castillo.

I presented in May 2017 with Stage 4 breast cancer (a very rare form) with a tumor marker of 390. By January it was below 50 and I was in remission. After one year, it is down to 27.2 . . . I don't know how long this drug will work, but he assures me if it quits working that we'll find another. I have complete trust in him.

I cannot recommend Dr. Castillo highly enough. When people give a 10 rating, this doctor should get a 20. He's personable, highly skilled and someone you want on your team if you have cancer. He, also, caught a problem with me developing a huge blood clot and is now treating that symptom. I trusted him with my life and yesterday was pronounced in full remission from my lung cancer. If you or someone you know needs a skilled oncologist, call his office. You won't be disappointed!

I saw Dr. Castillo a year after seeing another Hematologist about very low platelets. The first Doctor said I had an auto-immune disorder like Lupus, but not Lupus and that I could come back to see him in 6 months if I felt like it. My platelet count continued to drop and became dangerously low. I sought a second opinion with Dr. Castillo, he was a lifesaver. He completely reversed my low platelets within two months and I am healthy again. He is kind, caring and compassionate!!!
