My parents both spent the final years of their life here and it was a good place for them to live. There were some complaints but they were minor overall. I think this is about the best you will get up in the Wausau area. Dad got tired of the food which is understandable when you eat it the same 'restaurant' every day and they have to cook for a variety of dietary restrictions (no salt etc).
