italian – Food was good, decor fine. Lived in NY most of my life and was trying to make a show. Everything was fine until I tried to get my coat for 10 minutes before asking the maitre 'd to assist me, which he seemed to ignore my request. Waited 10 more minutes until my showtime to ask the maitre 'd once more if there was something he could do. His reply was "Areverderchi this is NY get used to it". Overpriced with average food – Having read the reviews we were expecting an excellent dinner. The ambiance was fine, the service was fine but the food was a disappointment. The caprese salad was good but the pasta was heavy and salty and the gnocci was bland and coarse. Food prices were way above average for food of this quality. The nero d'avola was also mediocre. With many restaurant choices offering much more nuanced and flavorful fare at a better price we will not be returning to Remi.

disappointing – Visited on a Saturday night. Chose this resaurant based on reviews from this sight. Food was bland, nothing special. Nothing to rave about. Atmosphere quiet and boring, not elegant. Good service, but pushy sommlier. In general the food was just okay. Not what we were expecting, especially for the price.
Very accomodating and warm service – We were very late for our 6:15 reservation, but no problem. We called and the host said not to worry they would hold our table for us. When we did arrive at 7:00 (due to traffic) we were concerned that we wouldn't have time to eat before the 8:00 show began. This restaurant was incredibly accomodating. We had dinner and dessert in less than an hour and didn't feel rushed. The food was wonderful and the service was lovely. We would come back here frequently.

Good Restaurant in Midtown – Remi is a very nice place to eat in Midtown. The restaurant is visually appealing with its beautiful mural of Venice spanning the length of the restaurant. The restaurant has a very nice selection of reasonably priced wines. The restaurant is straightforward and unpretentious. The proscuitto w/ melon was excellent as a first course place. The various entrees that we ordered in our party of 8 all received positive comments. The selection of gelatos is very good. We would definitely go here again.
Nice risotto – I had a very nice meal here. I love the bustling atmosphere - of course you have to be in the mood for the energy. No complaints.
