I’m a design professional and live nearby. I’ve been in the store probably 15x over the years. Sometimes I pop in for inspiration, sometimes looking for a particular item. In those 15 visits, I have never - not once - been greeted. Nobody has ever said, “Can I help you?” Employees walk right past me. I can even be standing next to an employee and zero acknowledgement that I’m there. It’s a phenomenon and beyond off-putting.

$3,000 Chair, Two-Year Lifespan I purchased a Performance Boater Bouclé chair in Ore approximately two years ago for around $3,000. The chair is described as “heirloom quality,” yet after about two years of normal use, the backrest springs began protruding through the upholstery. This represents a significant structural failure for a product at this price point. my wife and I were ignored the entire 45 minutes we were there, no matter what we were looking at or what section of the store we were in. There was literally one other couple in the store and nobody could even be bothered to greet us or offer to answer any questions. Their loss, I suppose, as we are in the midst of a remodel, but what a waste of our time
