Prepare to pet, feed and photograph both adult and baby reindeer at Anchorage's fascinating Reindeer Farm. Gentle and tame, these "deer" are accustomed to visitors and are very friendly. Owner Tom Williams actually grew up on this beautiful farm and transformed it from a dairy farm to a reindeer wonderland in the late 1980s. Today, visitors can also marvel at elk and bison, and can go on a horseback ride up up the nearby Butte.

RecommendedEric was awesome on Saturday.. he was very knowledgeable and made it fun for the kids to learn.. He was very patient and made sure we were all doing good since it was in the negative digits.. The reindeer were awesome to mingle with.. they were very friendly and gentle.. we were never concerned to be with them.. Dolly the bison was cool to see.. my favorite was Rocky the moose.. this was our second visit to the farm and I am sure there will be more when we get back to Alaska.
What a great experience! Our tour guide was Eric and he was awesome! Very knowledgeable and funny!! The reindeer were super cute and friendly, and the moose was super sweet! What a great experience! We will definitely come back next time we are in Palmer!
Brought family from out of town yesterday for our first visit to the farm since having moved to Alaska in 2019. And WOW! We will definitely be back! The staff was great and super knowledgeable, and I loved being able to interact with the animals. Dolly the bison is adorable, and Rocky is the sweetest moose in the state! What a magical adventure we had being up close and feeding reindeer. Enjoyed listening to reindeer lore and history of the farm. The tour is a wonderful way for the family to experience Alaska’s beautiful creatures and rescues without stretching the patience of young children. And for those searching for a bit of romance there is a moose who will kiss for 🍎 apples😍
We had such an amazing time for Christmas Eve, thank you for making it such a special day. It will now be our new tradition every Christmas Eve!
Our family had a great time on the farm yesterday 12-23-19. We were greeted by the Grinch, enjoyed visiting with Santa, petting the reindeer, riding on the reindeer train and the tractor pulled hay ride. we never tire of seeing the reindeer.
