Prepare to pet, feed and photograph both adult and baby reindeer at Anchorage's fascinating Reindeer Farm. Gentle and tame, these "deer" are accustomed to visitors and are very friendly. Owner Tom Williams actually grew up on this beautiful farm and transformed it from a dairy farm to a reindeer wonderland in the late 1980s. Today, visitors can also marvel at elk and bison, and can go on a horseback ride up up the nearby Butte.

RecommendedLoved being able to pet the animals. Didn't even mind getting sneezed on by one of the reindeer.
We had a great time with all of the animals. Our guide clearly loved them. It's a family business and we learned about the history of the farm. We also saw quite a few other animals such as elk and a moose. The highlight was, of course, being in the reindeer pen and feeding them. They were so friendly and it was comical how they followed people around to be fed. It was well worth the cost of admission.

Took our parents here for the reindeer farm tour and the horse ride and it was amazing. Jenny was such a great tour guide and our trail guide was amazing too. Fun place for all ages!
