I have served in the US Army for 20 years. From Oct 2013 to Oc 2016 I was stationed at Ft Belvoir. During that time I leased a property with Reid Property Management. We paid $2300 a month & $2300 security deposit. Over the course of three years we paid approximately $82,800 in rent. In Aug 2016 I was advised I would be moving to Hawaii on PCS orders. This is a very long post. But if you are a homeowner or tenant...please read!!! I would give them 0 stars if I could! This is a warning for homeowners and tenants! Reid property Management was our property manager for about a year when we moved out of state and rented our home. At first things were great. Very unprofessional, does not answer or return calls, does not like to resolve issus, hires us to do work for her, has us buy the supply and takes forever to pay for repairs to there rental property. Leaves a bad reviews because we demand them to pay their pass due payment, honestly don't understand how they run a business and don't like to work with people. It is very disappointing to work for a management company who does not like to pay for their repairs.
Renters beware. Military families beware. Owners beware. Reid property management did ONE property inspection during the THREE years we lived at the property. Lynn made demands to see our military orders even though our lease expired, demanded to see a receipt from a cleaner claiming it was part of our lease (it wasn't), then deducted over $800 from our deposit to cover her lazy mistake. $800 is a lot of money to us. 3 years of service that did not end well. Day to day issues were fine. Ended with a bad tenant that was allowed to stay in over 8 months with late and missing payments. Did not get the support I was looking for and was still paying the monthly fees when I did get paid.
