Walked into a deserted store. Two people sitting around the counter. We weren’t acknowledged when we entered. We wandered around for maybe five minutes, still without being acknowledged. They seemed to engrossed in their chat. Bikes may be good, customer service was literally no n-existent and would stop us buying from them.
Had a service booked 3 weeks in advanced, took the bike in on the booked day only to be told by a very unhelpful staff that it couldn’t be done today. I drove from the Barossa for this and they didn’t even contact me to reschedule. I even emailed to complain about my experience and they didnt respond. Don’t bother with this store. Such a shame because the Reid shop and staff in Sydney are so much better.
This place is a joke. Ordered a click and collect for a child’s birthday 2 weeks in advance. Told it would be ready in one week. Keep calling- no answer and they don’t return calls. No gift for my kid on her birthday. Call the day of her birthday to be told it arrived 3 days ago (nobody told me and still not built). Go to collect today and waiting 15 minutes for the staff to work out how to use the eftpos machine and ignore my husband simply trying to pick up an item paid for over 2 weeks ago.
Friendly, expert service with great attention to detail. Both Tim and Georgie took time to really understand our context, to ensure we had the right bikes and accessories for our needs. There was no pushy salesmanship either. I'd absolutely recommend Reid Adelaide for all your cycling needs.
Today I wandered down to Reid Cycles in Adelaide and bought myself a fixed gear bike to spin around our city. Whilst I was once an avid and experienced rider, I hadn't cycled since the beginning of the pandemic (formerly lived in Melbourne), and I was back to being a novice at all things bikes.
