RecommendedThe merchandise never disappoints, however the staff need training on customer service social skills. No one asked us if we needed assistance but they had no problem following us and watching our every move like we were there to steal. There's plenty other place to shop.

Hands down the MOST insulting staff I have ever experienced. A couple of (possible) trouble makers were walking around and I was instantly thrown into their mix and literally hawk eyed and followed EVERY SINGLE step I took. Though I was in there to purchase a pair of snow pants, I was treated like an untrusted thief. NOT as a paying customer. Great products with a wide variety of outdoor gear. The sales staff is knowledgeable and helpful. $20 gets you a lifetime membership to this Co-Op. (You’re not required to be a member to shop at REI, but if you are a member, you will receive a dividend after the end of the year, based on the dollar amount of spending).

If you don’t support the NRA, you don’t support the majority of Alaskans and shouldn’t operate here. I recommend all my ski customers go to Beaver Sports or Play It Again now.
REI's decision to limit their stocked brands due to any kind of NRA association has encouraged me to cut up my REI membership.
I think that it is terrible that you corporate leadership just lost a lot of sales to your store in Fairbanks. Bad business decision.
