Deserves zero stars. The others with one star are right, Regions is horrible. Their system is setup to allow transfers for MORE than what's available from their checking to their savings. Literally every other bank in the world would have a check in place on internal transfers to prevent this, but not Regions as I was charged $** from an internal transfer! Truly awful bank. They "do not use email" and will absolutely refuse to email you important documents. Their scheme is to charge you *$ every time you want to use their printer. They are also EXTREMELY unprofessional over the phone. Rude, short, putting you on hold for no reason, leaving you on hold for more than 15 minutes, and not resolving issues. I went to Regions ATM to make a deposit early this morning. The ATM took ******it returned two *****bills as not accepted. The ATM returned my card and made noise as if it was processing my funds then lights on the right panel went out then silence. When everything stopped and lights came back on everything was as if nothing happened I received no receipt no nothing. I put my card back in to see if monies were deposited but nothing. I used their ATM on Madison Blvd in Madison AL I deposited $*** and the ATM spit out $** and a notice came up on the screen saying it had retained my funds and to contact the bank. That was a week ago Meanwhile overdraft fees are getting added. The money was out into the account Now they are taking their time to replace my money I realize that's not a lot of money to some people but to most it is. I started my account with Regions in 2013, initially Checking, Savings, and a line of Credit. In 2017, I moved banks, but kept my Regions credit card and kept making on-time payments (I have never made a late payment on any credit card before). Two months ago, Regions' website started giving me an error when I tried to pay my card down from my savings account at the other bank. This is the same account I use to pay ALL of my credit cards, and have used it to pay this particular card for the five years since I switched banks.... read more

Mind you what I am about to say comes from a customer of more than 15 years, but I have learned loyalty means nothing to the company. Unfortunately, I do NOT recommend banking with Regions. The conveniences and services is great but when it comes to issues don't expect much. I had someone send me a bad check that I had deposited (unknowing that it was bad). Pleasant staff, they made changes I required easily. The whole process was seamless and most importantly, my construction loan was received quickly, paperwork is straightforward. I would highly recommend.

Regions Mortgage flat out refuses to remove Escrow account with absolutely no reason in written response. I am going to refinance ASAP. The customer service tells you one thing and the PMI and Escrow departments do something else.
