As a longtime customer in good standing at Regions, I attempted to deposit a check and get cash back in the same transaction. Since I did not currently have enough money in my account to "cover" the $60 I requested back in cash, the teller denied the transaction... EVEN THOUGH I was attempting to deposit $710 in that same transaction. For a bank that promotes itself as your neighbor, that felt pretty alienating. Everytime i am inside doing a transaction the tellers are friendly and helpful. I appreciate the service they provide at this branch.
How are banks including regions allowed to continue to offer such poor customer service in relation to the hours of service that a branch is open during the day. My local regions branch on E. Brainerd Rd. is only open during business hours that most people are at work. How is that serving the customer? A bank should have hours that accommodate the customer and not the bank employees.
I am writing this to say how impressed I am with this branch! My son loves the $2 bill and I wanted to give him his allowance in that form. They didn't have any when we went in, but they ordered them for me! They even called me when they arrived so I could pick up. Top notch customer service. Update: Still the best branch in the area! They recognize me and are so kind and helpful. Their branch is how all banks should do business!
My VISA card has been scammed 3 times in the last couple of years. When I tell them, they always issue me a new card and reimburse any amount that was taken, including over $1000 last time. When I took a check in that had been through the washer, the teller took the time to tape it back together well enough that the machine would take it. Always very friendly and helpful.
