Classic White Cake That's all I wanted... A Classic White Cake with white frosting and raspberry filling. One would think that this is a simple request to fill. Unfortunately for the Bay Bakery, it must not have been that easy. The cake was made with egg yolks, so it had an egg flavor and the cake was yellow, not white. There was a scant amount of raspberry filling between the three layers, but the edges of the cake were filled with white butter crme frosting. 2 for public relations, no one should leave a bakery in a huff! I agree with the unhappy patrons here. Though Bay bakery is often delicious, the public relations leave a great deal to be desired, especially if there has been an error or mistake on Bay's part. After ordering a number of cakes from her, I ordered another birthday cake following a holiday. Cake Just Right I was coming in from out of town and wanted a really good cake for a gang of relatives. A friend recommended Regina's Bay Bakery and I called and placed my order two days ahead. The cake was ready when I came to pick it up and I was VERY pleased. I chose chocolate cake, buttercream icing, and their turtle filling. Great Bakery My wedding was on August 6th, my wedding cake was beautiful and it tasted good and the people working there were very helpful. I ordered the red velvet cake and my friends are still talking about how good my cake was.
Regina's Bay Bakery better than ever! I was raised in Whitefish Bay and remember the delicious doughnuts we would have on the weekend. Happened to be in the area and saw it was still around so decided to check it out...glad I did! Very warm and welcoming place with deep chocolate walls and a few cafe tables for those who can't wait to take their treats home. RUINED MY WEDDING I just got married last week. I used Bay Bakery expecting excellence. Instead, I recieved a wedding cake that was the wrong color in design, dry, and unsatisfactory. When they delivered my cake, I was away taking pictures after my ceremony. When I returned my Throw Bouquet was dismantled by the Bay Bakery staff and used to place on my cake. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I am very disappointed with the poor customer service I received from Bay Bakery and looking at the reviews I see that I am not the only person who has received poor customer service. Megan was not very compassionate about the wedding cake order and I hope there can be some type of customer service classes offered so that in the future she can communicate to customers better. Not very good I bought a Birthday cake for a party that included mostly adults, and went to Regina's because I wanted something better than a grocery cake. I asked about the frosting (to me, the most important part) and was told it was a "buttercream", which is what I wanted. However, when we ate the cake, the frosting had so much sugar that it was almost gritty and didn't taste at all like some of the good buttercream frostings I've had elsewhere.
