We have purchased recently gold necklace having 2 carats of uncut diamonds. They charged us $4000 for diamonds alone with gold price separately of the necklace. we believed them because i didn't buy any uncut diamonds before. Later when we check other shops , we figured out we are doomed about $1500. Average uncut diamond price is $500 per carat, they charged us $2000 per carat. So before buying anything which you didn't have prior knowledge, please don't believe the shop owners.
