First off..the band was awesome!! 4 stars to them!! BUT since it is no longer actually Referees and called Phat Chads..it still looks the same and attracks the same crowds...the drinks are a little $$ pricey..but the food..I ordered the Asian chicken lettuce wraps were the bomb!! So 5 stars to the chef!! MY biggest disappointment with the place is also the restroom..it really needs some updating and made bigger..it has 1 sink that is boxed into this tiny small space right by the door..has only 2 stalls. Bathrooms smelt like urine, drugs sold there, out dated equipment. On a good note PHAT CHADS HAS TAKEN OVER AND already has made old refferees is go ne.
Back in July. Unwelcoming. Uninviting. Not the friendliest . Not the cleanest. Denied service cause they didn't want to believe my ID. No swipe, no mental math. Employee's seemed to be drinking on the job. Went to a different bar right after to which employee's and customer's spoke negativity of them.
Since I saw some negative reviews I want to give my review. With the recent owners I give it a 5+ star rating. It now has new owners. So I will have to wait and see what I rate it with new owners.. I hope it retains the same rating..The former owners were very generous and very hospitable. Brought in live music which was awesome. Our music community and friends are awesome. Love going to Referees for the last 3 years. Before these owners it was a total dive bar(my opinion).

It was my first time there. My first impression of the place wasn't very good. I went to the grill first and in my opinion it was dirty and the worker acted like she could care less if I ordered. I did order a hamburger but she came to my table and said she didn't wa t go serve it to me because the way it looked. She brought me sliders I stead. They were dry and no taste. The beer was cheap for pitcher and the pool tables were in good shape. But because of the food not being in good standards I won't be back.
