Ive seen her one time for a skin cancer screening. It was very hands off as if she did not have time for me. I did have another appointment scheduled but had to cancel and reschedule due to a family emergency. It's been brought to my attention that because I did not give a 24 hour notice on the cancelling, I will be charged $50.00. So please know, that there is no grace for someone who cancels in less than 24 hours due to another family emergency that needed immediate attention. Her $50 is more important than the patient!
I've seen Dr. Varade twice now, each time for precancerous skin lesions on my face. She removed them each time, without leaving a scar. She also took time to listen and respond to my questions and to discuss with me my family history of skin cancer, and how best I might address it. I'm very grateful for her professionalism and her social intelligence. I'd had unhappy previous experiences with two other dermatologists in Joliet, so the contrast is striking.
